Cheryl Francis, President/Founder

Cheryl wants to help all Virgin Islands children and families to have a quality life of Happiness, Peace and Love of each other and their community.  She created Stop the Bleeding, Inc with the goal of making a positive difference in the lives of the children and young people she connects with on a daily basis.  She is blessed to be married to Gregory R. Francis, Lieutenant Governor of the Virgin Islands for thirty six (36) years.

Cheryl Francis has worked at Vitelco/Innovative Telephone and Communications Company and ended her tenure of almost 30 years as the Director of Business Offices on all three islands.  She also was a certified Real Estate agent and Associate Broker in Atlanta, Georgia for a time.  She is so grateful that she is alive and well enough to see her children grow into successful adults in their own right.  She feels that the children of the Virgin Islands are her extended family that she is responsible for and accountable to.  Her goal is to give opportunity, support and encouragement to all who need it the most by reaching out to, and in turn accepting the love and respect of her community.

Rebecca Thomas, Vice President

Rebecca Thomas supports the mission and vision of Stop the Bleeding, Inc. and wants to be part of the solution of bringing children and families together and supporting the Virgin Islands community. Retired and married  to Aubrey Thomas, she works with STBI at every opportunity to uplift the spirits of everyone she meets here in the VI because she understands very well, the importance of keeping family together.

Rebecca Thomas has worked at the First National Bank of Chicago as a Customer Service Representative/Receptionist and owned her business “Errands and Beyond” New York before her retirement. She and her husband Aubrey has chosen to make St. Croix, Virgin Islands their second home outside of Virginia. She enjoys being around friends and making a positive difference in the lives of all are honored to be her friend.

Anneta Adams-Heyliger, Treasurer

Anneta is the sole proprietor of Adams Financial Services in business for the past two and a half years providing accounting and consulting services to small businesses and not for profits in the territory.

Anneta has over 21 years of experience in accounting and management in both the public and private sectors. She supports Stop the Bleeding, Inc’s mission by handling the financial accounting and bookkeeping of our records. She brings a slew of experience of working with Non Profits while at the same time, she cares very much for the children and families of the Virgin Islands. Anneta exhibits the ultimate professionalism and knowledge while helping us to have a strong foundation as we join forces with other organizations to spread the word of Peace and Love.

Linella Edwards, Secretary

Linella supports Stop the Bleeding, Inc’s mission by keeping the focus on the children and their need for tender loving care and understanding. Linella Edwards is quiet and shy yet a very strong person who is meticulous and determined to get the job done right the first time.

Linella Edwards is married to Kenneth for eighteen (18) years with four (4) children and loves to spend time in her vegetable garden.

Linella Edwards is the backbone of the organization that keeps us grounded so that we are careful to remember that life is very real for those who need the most help. She is a homemaker and her priority is taking care of and loving her family. She reminds us that hands- on work and touching the lives of children helps them to grow and achieve their dreams.
